A new day for America
Okay, so today we finally got the announcement that Joe Biden is the presumptive President-elect of the United States, pending all final counts and certifications.
It’s a good day for America, largely because we will be rid of Trump.
Is Joe the best we could have had? Possibly not, but among those who ran, he was the one selected. I am disappointed at how many people are complaining about Joe Biden instead of some other Democratic candidate. If a more suitable candidate had won the primary, he or she would have likely stomped all over Trump and today’s victory would have been even more glorious. But Biden is the one we have and we will make do.
I’m just a few days from the hernia repair surgery. Not knowing what new expenses will be incurred, or how long I will be off from work, I did create a GoFundMe account. I am assuming this won’t be nearly as complicated as the previous surgery, nor will recovery be quite as long. But I know I’ll have to be out of work for several weeks before I can be doing any heavy lifting, which is required for dyeing yarns. And with that much free time to be sitting still and healing, I am putting aside some handwork projects as well as some stuff on my Netflix and Acorn watchlists. 🙂
I will likely be blogging here with more regular posts for a while as well.
