I thoroughly dislike how the pain is interrupting my night sleeps and fucking up my attention in the daytime. And I resented this morning’s reading of 152. But the pain had subsided, I needed just a few things from Kroger, and I felt ‘able’ enough. So I arranged a Lyft, she carried me to Kroger, and I got what I needed. Then I went to arrange a Lyft ride home — nope. “No network connection.” I don’t know if it is my phone settings, or some other stupid shit (Kroger doesn’t have WiFi available for customers, apparently), but I ended up walking home with the small bag of things I got. SOOOO very glad I didn’t get a lot of things.
I trudged home and half way here I knew I was hurting in my hips and knees. I attributed that to just regular joint pain, and having not made that trek in nearly a month. I shared two fresh fried chicken thighs with the boys, then ate a plate of leftover vegetables for lunch. I then proceeded to fall asleep on the couch for over an hour and a half, sleeping right through my two-hours-after-lunch finger stick. So I did it late and got a 77! SEVENTY-SEVEN!!! What the hell? So I just ate a protein bar to carry me to supper time.
As as much as I hate what my night sleeps are like, when I am able to get sleep in the daytime, I really enjoy the dreams I am given. Gosh, today was a lovely dream sequence, with lovely people. So the nap and the dream were nice, my blood sugar went way low, and I’m feeling a little groggy at the moment.
And hurting down below, starting the evening sequence. UGH! I’ll see if some ibuprofen will stave it off a while.
