Bummer, but it’s just a number
I was up in the night with abdominal pain. Went to bed around 10:45, was up 3-4 times to pee, and finally was wide awake around 1:30. That’s just ridiculous. I took 3 ibuprofen, 2 cups of coffee, and a small amount of cheese and crackers. It took 2 hours before I felt okay enough to try going back to bed, but I slept through for about 3.5 hours, which is pretty good.
When I got up at 7:15, my reading was 152. Wow… not good. I’m guessing it is because of the cheese and crackers, but I don’t know, since I didn’t test just before I ate them.
Yesterday, the numbers seems elevated as well, but that was yesterday.
I did feel okay enough to try dyeing a small job. I got it done, but shortly after is when the pain started, both the abdominal pain and the back pain, but I’m guessing the back pain was from standing up working for about an hour. That part I can understand, since it’s been a few weeks since I have actually felt good enough to try dyeing. I’ll get that back as the rest of my body heals and rests, and I can build up to my previous stamina.
Tomorrow I see the urologist so I hope to learn what’s going on with the bladder area. I don’t know if it IS the bladder, but that’s the general area that is hurting so much all the time, causing me to double over in pain. And that usually doesn’t happen until mid-day or later. And that’s a visit to the downtown clinic, so I don’t know how much of the day will be shot getting to and from. I will likely nap several times during today, as I did yesterday. Once the pain stops, I am able to sleep, which is what I need most.
