I stayed up until 11:00 last night, had several trips to the potty, and then finally quit trying to sleep around 1:30. I was hurting rather a bit, so I stayed up with small dish of cheese and crackers, took 2 aspirin and 2 cups of coffee. Finally around 3:40 I was seriously sleeping, went to and stayed there for 4 hours. Woo-hoo!
i know the cheddar cheese is 0 carbs, and I had fewer than the 16 prescribed serving of those little Wheat Thin style crackers. Even so, my morning reading (roughly 5 hours after the late night balanced snack) was 170! Yikes! I’ll have to review everything else I ate yesterday to see what’s up with that.
I do feel slightly better in the lower areas, so we’ll see how the rest of the day goes. Oddly, both my right hip and knee are announcing themselves this morning, which hasn’t happened in a while. I can’t think of anything I did yesterday that would have put undue stress or strain. But perhaps because a cold front is moving through today there is a connection…?
So many things i don’t know, so many things I have to pay attention to. Like, yesterday at the diabetes counselor, I learned that my daily notebook needs to include what I ate and my finger-stick readings (which I’ve already been doing), but also my activities, moods, and other things. So my little data-point collector notebooks will become a more fleshed-out journal of sorts.
while my lower parts are sort of burning a bit, it’s not as bad as it has been recently, and I’m feeling somewhat able today. I have one very small custom job for today. If I can get through that without collapsing today I may be able to start a larger and much more complicated custom dye job tomorrow. That will be very nice.
