I saw this story this morning and it made me happy.  New Era Detroit entered into a mega church and staged a protest against the obscene and vulgar display of wealth inside the church, while witnessing the poverty and hunger in the community surrounding the church.

I hope more people start to protest at these big churches.  There’s no excuse for thinking churches are inviolable or sacrosanct.  Whether it is protests for their vulgar wealth, or their abuse of LGBT or Women or others, or some other cause, it is OKAY to stage a protest against churches when those churches are doing wrong.
