In 1996 I bought a 26-inch color television.  It served me well until a few weeks ago, and I just didn’t like how the colors would change sometimes, and the volume control didn’t seem to actually increase the volume.   So I put it to the streetside and it walked away within a few hours.

For a long time I have wanted a larger 36-40 inch flat-screen TV, which would not only be newer with a more clear picture, but large enough I could see it well no matter where I was in the area.

But, now that I have been without a television for a few weeks, I have been using this all-in-one computer for watching Netflix, the live-streaming local news, and other things.  I have it sitting on the coffee table in front of me.  It is only just me in the house, I get the things I want to see, and because it is closer I don’t really need a giant TV any more.

So I’m wondering if others are also experiencing a shift from the big TV monopolizing the room and just using ‘personal TV’ instead.
