“If a pregnancy resulting from rape is just God giving a new life, then a death resulting from a home invasion is just God take someone home, right?”  If you rejoice at one unexpected miracle as a sign from God, then you MUST accept the other as an equally miraculous sign from God, and be just as glad for it.  And that would be pretty fucked up, right?

Nevermind the myth of descending from Adam and Eve.  Between Noah, his wife, their sons and their sons’ wives, there is not enough genetic diversity to account for the human population.  At a minimum it would take 16 couples from different parts of the gene pool to account for genetic diversity, and all of them would still have had to come from one original couple (Adam and Eve), if the story were true.

But the fact is that humans, as we know them are descended and evolved from a core population of about 10,000 specimens of a previous species.  Individual specimens do not evolve.  EVER. Only populations (groups in isolation) evolve, and only over several generations.  There will never be found evidence of an original Adam or Eve because there never was an original Adam and Eve.
