umm..   anecdotal stories might be “significant” to you because ‘xyz’ happened to your uncle’s sister-in-law’s hairdresser’s neighbor.  But that’s not that same as being statistically significant for the purposes of genuine discovery under the scientific method. Praying for money, then finding a $10 bill in the parking lot is NOT scientific proof of the power or efficacy of prayer.  It is only proof that someone, at some prior time dropped a $10 bill.
