I don’t care what Santa gave you.
Already, not even 8:30a.m. as I type this, the pictures are flooding Facebook — you know the kind: people showing off their new-gotten treasures, or pictures of kids ripping open brightly colored packages.
And, truly, I do not begrudge anyone the wonderful gifts they received. I do not begrudge anyone the joy and excitement at getting presents, and I don’t want to spoil anyone else’s fun.
But seriously–if you are over 7-8 years old there is no excuse to brag about what you got for Christmas or what Santa brought you. If you are old enough to count change on a jug of milk from a five-dollar bill, you are old enough to have learned that Christmas is not about how many presents you get, but how many you can give.
Honestly, Ray. Be like Richard and get out of Facebook entirely. It is the Mecca of mediocrity.
