Exactly!  The government should NOT define marriage beyond the barest minimum (“two people in a committed relationship).   But more important, THE CHURCH SHOULD NOT DETERMINE WHAT MARRIAGE SHOULD BE, either!  Not everyone is a member of the Catholic Church.

And no place in that article does it spell out what those “unintended consequences” might be.

More fear-mongering and pouting because they don’t get to control everybody else’s life.
