Mandala 12 - "The Will to Live"

What does this one mean?

Here we see a simple seedling beginning to sprout under a blazing sun. It rests on the Tao -- all it can do is lay its full weight on Life itself and nothing else.

In order to grow, our little seedling is surrounded by parents, teachers, mentors.... the stylized blossoms displaying how to grow and live. The roots are shown dipping into the watery base.

Beyond those we look to for guidance in this world is the legacy and heritage of those who have gone on before to the Heaven -- those whose petals are leaning back in repose with "arms" (leaves) folded across their chest in peace.
