| Excellent Green Beans!
Clip tips and stems from beans, leave long. Steam 15 minutes or until al dente, remove from steamer to serving bowl. While beans are steaming, heat cast iron skillet over medium high heat while you cut the bacon. Cook bacon quickly, stirring regularly, about 5-7 minutes, lift out bacon to drain on paper towels, then quickly sautee mushrooms and garlic in the bacon drippings, about 3 minutes. Return bacon bits back to pan, continue heating for 1 minute more, then empty pan over green beans, toss lightly and serve. If you wish you can drain the mushrooms and bacon to minimize the drippings over the beans. Adjust amounts to suit your taste. SOOOO easy, sooo tasty. |
