How does burning a rug honor your ‘god’???
This is a perfect example of what I believe most Christians are like, in their hearts, even if they don’t say so out loud. They are intolerant of other religions and are becoming increasingly vocal (and stupid) in their hatred of Muslims, gays, atheists, and others.
I have no defense for Islam (nor should I), but I absolutely reject this sort of “Christian” response from people who clearly do not understand the recently passed expansion of the Hate Crimes Bill and what it is meant to do. There is no attack on Christianity … unless, of course, “attack” means putting them in their place and making them play fair and treat all people equally.
Furthermore…. how *exactly* does burning a prayer rug honor the Christian god? It makes no rational sense.

and you notice this bigot is too ashamed of his “truth” to actually show his face on camera? Wonder why?
November 3rd, 2009 at 6:31 pmThat video has already been flagged multiple times on YouTube by me and others. I can’t understand why they haven’t pulled it.
November 3rd, 2009 at 7:42 pmI think cutting a rug would be a better way to honor their god. Badum-cha.
November 3rd, 2009 at 8:05 pmReally?
I mean, Yes, it is awful, hateful, ignorant, and all the other vile adjectives I can’t remember right now. But should it be censored, shut down, pulled, and eliminated? Or should it be given wide dissemination in hopes that someone can trace it back to its owner and reveal him/them for the hateful, insignificant piss-ant he is/they are?

November 3rd, 2009 at 8:16 pmThis, again, embarrasses me as a Christian. I waited through the whole video to find out exactly what it was about the “hate crimes speech bill” passed by Obama that made it so offensive. Sure, I like to burn stuff too. But what does it have to do with a bill passed by our President that affects Christianity? I want THIS FACELESS GUY to tell me.

November 3rd, 2009 at 8:21 pm@Steve…. the “offensive” bill signed by the President, the expansion of the Hate Crimes Bill, does not affect Christianity. At least, not in any real negative way, and definitely not in the ways that these bigots are whining about. The Hate Crimes Bill does not impinge on the rights of preachers or anyone else to be ignorant or even to spout ignorant opinions. The bill ONLY reaches to the point where ignorant opinions turn into ignorant and criminal actions.
November 3rd, 2009 at 8:34 pm@Ray #8 - so a preacher CAN do a sermon based on, say the Leviticus 18:22 thing without getting into trouble? If so, then why did this guy keep saying “hate crimes speech”? And, on another note, how does this tie into the Muslim faith? And how does it tie into Galatians 1? I could go on, but. . .
November 3rd, 2009 at 9:04 pm@Steve: legislation is full of exemptions for religion. Right-wing opponents of the Hate Crimes Bill have been claiming it becomes a hate speech bill or some form of ‘thought police’ act. This has been refuted over and over, and only a truly committed idiot would have a problem with the Hate Crimes Bill, but this breed of Christian doesn’t care about facts when they have the power of fear to control ignorant people.
