Atheists in the Pulpit?
A fascinating talk by Dan Dennett, nearly an hour long, but worth listening to, that explores the evolution of God.
The topics he introduces are far too many to list, but they include some discussion of why there are atheists still in the pulpit, and why there is such a broad chasm between what ministers know from scholarship (learned in seminary) and what they allow themselves to say to the lay congregation. Fascinating all around, and I suspect each topic his mentions is worth its own lecture series.
