“Terrorized”? SRSLY?

This is just absolutely insane!   Church Sues After Being “Terrorized” by Gay Activists Kissing

This group of gay activists entered a church.  A noteably ANTI-Gay church.   And why not?  It’s about time gay activists starting “returning the favor” of what Christians have been doing all along.  It is virtually impossible to attend a Gay Pride Festival (or much of any other fun thing) without having a bunch of religious idiots lining up, preaching through bullhorns, disrupting things.   Christians regularly go out of their way to harrass other people, so why shouldn’t gays go into places where the Christians hang out?  It makes perfectly good sense.

So, anyway, one bunch of protestors makes a ruckus outside the church, and some nicely dressed members quietly enter the church.  A couple of lesbians step up to the platform and begin kissing in front of the church.  KISSING!    And a few up in the balcony start tossing leaflets down on the congregants.    All very peaceful, non violent.   But deliberately pointed.

So, instead of recognizing the error of their ways (the church, that is) and repenting of their damnable doctrines and lies, they SUE the protestors.  WTF?   Why will these GODDAMNED MOTHERFUCKING SO-CALLED CHRISTIANS get a fucking clue.  How dare they sue anyone else for creating trouble for themselves with their anti-gay positions!!

According to the Catholic League president, Bill Donahue:

“If an organized group of gay bashers stormed a gay church, there is not a single sentient person in the United States who wouldn’t know about it. This is urban fascism come to America’s heartland.”

Sorry, dude, but if any organized group of gay bashers went into a church, it would be for violence and not a peaceful demonstration or disruption.

The Bash Back visit occured last November, but the suit was just filed last month.   You can read the filing here.  It makes for interesting reading!    I’m not sure I agree with violence as a means to fixing what is wrong with the Church (any church), but it is completely okay to make a peaceful demonstration to make a point.  After all, if Christians can stand on a street corner terrorizing people (what else can you call it when they shout “You’re going to hell!”??) they should be able to put up with equivalent response inside their church meetings.  Turn about is fair play.

If you believe it is wrong for gay activists to enter a church with their message, please explain why it should be acceptable for religious folk to enter and disrupt Gay Pride festivals or picket parades or funerals.

Disrupting a religious service is not a good way to convert anyone to your way of thought. Even a heterosexual couple would not have been welcomed if they got on the platform and started kissing. I can see the ushers being called to escort them off. Those in the balcony tossing leaflets were guilty of littering. Would it not have been better to have handed the leaflets to individuals as they left the church?

But why should a different standard apply here? Religious people regularly disrupt outside activities with their bullhorns and demonstrations, littering the area with their own leaflets and tracts.

Aggressive disruption may not be the best way on either side, but when the religious people insist they are “right” and therefore don’t need to even hear the other side, they give up their expectation for decency or respectful behavior in response. What they fail to realize is that MANY of those gay/lesbian people have already been inside the churches, they have already heard the church’s views from an insider’s perspective (like me). It is the religious folks consistently and always at fault because they refuse to hear the fact that THEY are the ones causing the problems in society.

[...] Christians think it is okay to go to Pride activities to preach their hateful message, yet scream bloody murder if gay folks come to church to distribute factual information about being gay?   It would be SO [...]
