All I can say to this report is WTF?????

Women should be hit for wearing sexy clothing in public, one in seven believe

That is insane!    What ignorant motherfucker would beat on his wife or girlfriend for looking nice in public?   I mean, granted, if she’s whipping out a breast or hiking up her skirt for others to observe, the guy should rightly tell her good-bye and go find himeself a nice boyfriend instead.   But you never EVER hit another person simply for the way he or she is dressed.

One in seven people believe it is acceptable in some circumstances for a man to hit his wife or girlfriend if she is dressed in “sexy or revealing clothes in public”, according to the findings of a survey released today.

A similar number believed that it was all right for a man to slap his wife or girlfriend if she is “nagging or constantly moaning at him”.

Now, admittedly, if the woman is nagging and slapping, punching, hitting the guy, I can understand if he returns the favor.   If she can behave like a brute, she should be able to receive it as well.    But even that is wrong.   Hands weren’t intended for abusing another person, male or female, child or parent, or whatever, although it self-defense it may be used as a very last resort, if leaving the area isn’t an option.

And I need someone in the U.K. (where the story is from) to explain this little bit:

Men and women over 65 and those in the lower social class groups D and E are more likely to believe that woman should be held partly responsible for being raped or sexually assaulted, Ipsos Mori telephone poll found.

What the hell is “lower social class groups D and E“?  What does that MEAN?

I grew up with violence.   Both parents were alcoholics, and neither of them held their liquor well.  And usually that’s when all their pent-up frustrations would be unleashed, and Dad would beat the hell out of Mother.  But then, she seemed to attract that sort, and in return she would say and do things that would absolute drive any sane man to want to slap her.   Hell, even I slapped her once.  Just once, when I was 13 or 14, but it was enough to make her stop beating on me.  (Actually that was stupidly funny — she was drunk and wanting me to do something stupid, and I didn’t want to and was trying to leave, so she started getting physical and screaching at me, so I slapped her.   And then she started yelling “Help, my son is beating on me!”   WTF?  if you can’t take it, you shouldn’t dish it out.  But she never did hit me again!)

Anyway, violence is ALWAYS wrong, but especially this stupid study.   What sort of idiot would think it is okay to slap or hit a woman for the way she is dressed?    I mean, seriously … have you seen the women shlepping the aisles at WalMart lately?   If you hold your breath for just a moment you can actually hear the spandex weeping! Those women should be arrested.
