Obama on the side of Science!
I was excited this morning to hear that Obama was lifting the stupid ignorant asshole-ish ban on stem cell research perpetrated by George W. Bush.
As President Obama reversed the Bush administration’s limits on embryonic stem-cell research, he said scientific decisions must be “based on facts, not ideology.”

President Obama lifted a ban that limited federally funded embryonic stem cell research.
The president on Monday signaled a clear shift in tone from the Bush administration on a broad range of scientific issues.
Obama overturned an order signed by President Bush in 2001 that barred the National Institutes of Health from funding research on embryonic stem cells beyond using 60 cell lines that existed at that time.
Bush twice vetoed legislation that would have expanded federally funded embryonic stem cell research. Those siding with Bush say scientific advances allow researchers to conduct groundbreaking research without destroying human embryos.
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich told The Washington Post he thought Obama’s policy reversal on stem-cell research was an “ideological sideshow.”
“It is dangerous for the Obama administration to pick a wide series of fights,” Gingrich told the newspaper. “Each of these fights simply drains energy away and increases the coalition which decides it has a collective interest in stopping everything.”
Ummm…. Yo, Newt! Each of these “fights”? WTF? If all y’all ignorant fools would stop trying to drag the rest of us back to the 17th Century there wouldn’t be such a fucking drain, you moron! You and your people have NO values, NO morals, NO worth in public society any more. So FUCK OFF! Maybe if your cronies would invest your time in PARTICIPATING with where this country is going instead of fighting against it, we’d all be able to move forward faster.
Obama is doing what he said he would do, so the only people “fighting” are those who are opposed to progress and science and setting rational policies for our country to move ahead in medicine, science, morals, ethics, and everything else that matters.
I get so sick and tired of the loudmouth Republicans and the conservatives and all those nasty religious Liars4Jesus™ standing in the way of progress. It is impossible to put into words how fully and completely I HATE LOATHE DETEST ABHOR and ESCHEW those ignorant fucktards who hate America as much as the Christians and Republicans do. Every single one of them. By name. If they claim the name of Christian or Republic they should be shot to death every morning. All of them. Repeatedly. Once isn’t enough to pay off the damage they’ve done to this country. Kill ‘em all, every single day. Yeah, I really really REALLY don’t like what they’ve done.
Expanding and funding for embryonic stem cell research is one of the most promising field for the advancement of science affecting many areas of medicine. And there’s already a law against CREATING embryos solely for the purpose of this research, so the only embryos that would have been, and could have been, used were (and are) be those that are already being discarded by fertility clinics. It’s not like Bush’s stupid ban was somehow “saving” embryos intended for pregnancy. They were to be discarded anyway, but people suffering from religious stupidity decided those embryos were still somehow special or sacred and untouchable. But science cannot be limited by such religiously backwards thinking. Science can only be moved forward when it it guided by sound rational thought and solid ethical standards. Religion is the most UNethical, irrational basis for any decision-making, and I am SO GLAD Obama is putting science back where it should be.

“Every single one of them. By name. If they claim the name of Christian or Republic they should be shot to death every morning. All of them. Repeatedly. Once isn’t enough to pay off the damage they’ve done to this country. Kill ‘em all, every single day.” -Whoa, Whoa, Whoa!!!!
