Oh? Well, this is different
I really had trouble sleeping in the night, but finally got a couple hours before waking up in the wee hours. So I got up, looked around Facebook, turned on some YouTube and nibbled a granola bar around 3:30. Then I lay down and slept about three hours. THREE HOURS!!!
Blood sugar is a little high (132), and b.p. is 117/72. And I feel amazingly good, all things considered. Woo-hoo!
Not sure what the rest of the day will hold. I have to see the surgeon at mid-day for a follow-up. I dislike having to be away at mid-day, since it interferes with my eating/insulin routine.
Today is three weeks since the surgery. In some ways it feels very present still but in other ways it seems a distant memory. I suppose it will go like this for a long while, and I am marking the end of March before I seriously consider lifting bins of wet yarns and so forth. But it feels like there’s an end in sight, even if it is just a time-marker along a much longer way ahead. Never mind; for today I will take a pleasant day along the way.
