Late start
Went to bed around 10:30, spent a few hours wondering if I were asleep yet, finally quit trying around 2:30, stayed up with just one coffee and no snacks until around 4:00, then snuggled back under the covers until nearly 8:00. Morning finger-stick: 115, so that’s good.
I’m feeling mostly okay-ish, and the lower belly stuff seems to be settling down but I’m still only sort of cautiously optimistic.
I was sitting here thinking about which parts of my work I could do without breaking my 10-pound restrictions. Carrying bins of wet yarns is out. So is bursting the post-dye pouches, since that takes a good measure of force as well, definitely more than 10 pounds of force to tear the plastic wraps. And then hanging the yarns to dry requires squeezing the rod in between the porch uprights, and that takes a good bit of force.
About the only thing that does NOT require a lot of exertion is pulling hanks from cones. That’s just a matter of standing there, letting the machine wind off the hanks, and then tying them so they don’t come undone. So I’m thinking I can do that this weekend and have a sale on UNdyed hanks.
Yesterday I cast on a pair of socks. I was hoping to get two pair going at once, but for now I think one pair will keep me busy through next week. We’ll see.
(oops… forgot to hit “publish” yesterday!)
