Due to concerns of a family member, related to possibly heritable health conditions, that family member thought it useful that all of us who have already done our biological bit and contributed to the gene pool should find out if any of the rest of us are carriers of certain gene(s).  This way, we can inform our progeny if there is something they should be aware of.

So… my AncestryDNA kit just arrived….

I’ll have to read all the instructions and follow all the steps, but my obvious question is:  Do I have the “family DNA” or did God create this amazing human specimen totally from scratch?     🙂

Hahaha.    No, seriously, I’m interested in anything this will tell me.   I expect that I and my siblings would all have very similar DNA.    I’m not sure how long it will take to get my results back, but when I do, I will share it with y’all.  🙂
