I have enough of the disposable razors so I can shave well into January.

But I am considering going ‘old school’ — using a safety razor instead of always wasting money on disposable razors or even disposable cartridges.  Between now and the time I need them, I am going to be looking at several models.  I know I want a razor with some weight to it.  And I would prefer a butterfly top rather than the screw-off lidded version.  And it has to hold the blade securely into position, without shifting.

The Parker 96R – Long Handle Butterfly Open Double Edge Safety Razor seems to be rated well.

But I will continue looking to see what else I might discover
