So, Ray — if you are never going to date again, never planning to have sex with someone again, and never even hope to get married, why the fuck do you care so much about marriage equality when you will never take advantage of it?

Well, duh, you ignorant fuck-head!   OTHER people’s lives matter, too.  EVERY individual deserves to fall in love, commit to a relationship, and to have their relationship acknowledged as equal to other committed relationships of the same type.

Two men fucking IS EXACTLY THE SAME as two women fucking IS EXACTLY THE SAME as a hetero pair fucking.   There is absolutely no distinguishable difference in what they are doing, so why should it make a difference which two people are involved?

I care about marriage equality for the same reason I care about a woman’s reproductive rights, increasing taxes on the top 2%, and a whole host of other things.  It’s the right thing to do, whether it personally helps you immediately or not; these things affect the rest of society, and we have an obligation (in my opinion) to make our society more livable for the next generations.
