But there’s nobody there!
I saw this on the wall of someone I care about; it is being flashed around Facebook like a virus. Since I don’t name names, it’s not about the person, but the content of the message:
That is exactly as it appeared, I merely reduced it in size. Besides being a crappy photo-editing job, I am amused that the word GOD is fuzzy. That is probably the ONLY accurate part of the entire image: the idea of a god is fuzzy, from start to finish. God is nothing but a fuzzy idea, not a reality.
What truly offends me is that people are constantly and continuously LIED TO. There is no evidence that any god exists. Period. And without evidence that any god exists, there can be NO WAY anybody could “know” their imaginary friend will never give up on them. The reality is that as soon as you stop pretending there is a god, that imaginary friend is gone. There is nothing there. There is nobody there. It’s all imaginary.
I would challenge anyone to show evidence that a god actually exists in reality and not just in the imagination. Books are not evidence. Anecdotal experiences without documentation is also not evidence. Individual interpretations and “explanations” of experiences are also not evidence. Personal testimony is not evidence.
